Momsday: The Great Escape

Spring-a-Rama!!!

Hello, moms! How was your week? Is everyone ready for a holiday weekend?  Well, before the weekend gets here, I've found something really fun for you to do!

in is holding its annual Spring-a-Rama this week. A really good friend of mine and fellow Baldwin-Whitehall resident, Kelly Elias, said on Facebook recently, "Spring-a-Rama carnival starts tonight. One step closer to summer." I think that about sums it up, too! Everyone looks forward to this annual festival. It is usually the kickoff to the carnival season around our area, and who doesn't love a carnival?

Saint Elizabeth's Spring-a-Rama is open from Monday through Thursday this week from 7 to 10 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m.

Some of the many fun things that you will find at the Spring-a-Rama are bingo games, many booths with games of skill and chance, rides, a bake sale, a candy booth, fresh lemonade and a nightly 50-50 raffle.

You may also want to pick up tickets at the parish office for $1,000 and $5,000 drawings. Saint E's will also be holding "the biggest white elephant sale this side of the Ohio" (flea market). Everyone can find something fun to do at this event.

And do you know about the parish's famous doughnuts? Saint E's goal this year is to sell $20,000 worth of them. That's a lot of doughnuts! But let me tell you this: They are really good, really fresh, homemade doughnuts. I know that my family will be heading to the Spring-a-Rama this week to let the kids have fun while the adults eat some yummy treats and see what treasures we can score at the flea market. And play some games, of course!

This is a great fundraising event for the church and the school and brings out the whole community. You can't go to this event without seeing a bunch of your friends and neighbors and a lot of Baldwin alumni!

So, there you have it, folks. Get out and have some carnival fun this week. We are "one step closer to summer!"

Have a great week, moms.
