Momsday: The Great Escape

Don't miss the Baldwin Kiwanis Club's Monte Carlo Night this Saturday!

Hello, moms! I hope that you had a great Easter. After a long week, it'll be time for more fun this coming weekend.

This Saturday, April 30, the Baldwin Kiwanis Club is holding its 37th Annual Monte Carlo Night. This is an event that you won't want to miss: an annual Baldwin-Whitehall night out for the parents. And it's being held at Community Center, located at the intersection of Knoedler Road and Wolfe Drive.

Tickets are only $12 each, and they include a buffet dinner, pop, beer and mixed-drink setups like ginger ale, tonic water and ice. (Other than beer, it is a BYOB event.) The doors open at 6 p.m., and dinner starts at 6:30.

Are you and your girlfriends looking for a great way to get some exercise in to shape up for swimsuit season? Or maybe you just need to work off some of your daily stress while doing something good for your body at the same time. It's hard to get outside and do some power-walking with all of this rain lately.

If you are looking for something a little more low-key and relaxing to do this week, the is featuring the movie You Again this Friday, the 29th, from 1:15 to 4 p.m. during its weekly . One of the actresses in You Again is Betty White, and she is one of my all-time favorites. The movie is one of those great romantic comedies that we all need once in a while to get away from it all!

So have a great week, moms, and get out and do something good for your body and mind!
