Large Crack Sealing Project on Route 88 Monday-Wednesday

The work will cause slow-moving, short-term lane closures.

Weather permitting, crack and joint sealing operations will occur on Route 88 from Route 51 all the way to Corrigan Drive beginning on Monday, July 22, according to a news release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11-0.

The work will cause slow-moving, short-term lane closures on Route 88 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day through Wednesday, July 24.

Crack and joint sealing is a preservation activity that prolongs the life of road surfaces by preventing moisture from entering cracks and joints. Moisture can cause potholes and premature deterioration requiring more repairs.
