This weekend, head to the Baldwin Borough Public Library for story time or save big at a consignment sale!

The Baldwin-Whitehall Patch has once again assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and places to try out with children.

Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

    Why Go?: It's Lent! Whether you stay to eat or choose take-out, you are sure to enjoy a great meal!

  • Snuggle Bugs Consignment: Spring 2011 Children's Resale Event

  • Where?/When?: /Saturday, March 19, 11 a.m.
    Why Go?: Grades K-6 are invited to compete in the library's first Nintendo Wii tournament! The tournament consists of two divisions: Junior (K-3) and Senior (Grades 4-6). Register online.

  • Where?/When?: The Circuit Center & Ballroom in South Side/Sunday, March 20, 11 a.m.
    Why Go?: The Parent-Teacher Organization is hosting the 16th annual March Into Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon with Andrew Stockey of WTAE as emcee! The show will feature fashions from Capriccio, Catherines and The Gown Company. There will also be a Chinese auction, a cake auction and a lunch served at 1 p.m. This might be the perfect event for a mom-and-daughter day.
    Pricing: $30/person.
