This weekend, bring the family to a local fish fry or head Downtown for the St. Patrick's Day Parade!

The Baldwin-Whitehall Patch has once again assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and places to try out with children.

Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

    Where?/When?: Downtown Pittsburgh/Saturday, March 12, 10 a.m.
    Why Go?: Drive into the city this weekend to celebrate this Irish holiday!

  • Where?/When?: /Saturday, March 12, 12-1:30 p.m.
    Why Go?: Do you have a few tumblers in your family? Bring them to this open gym to turn all that energy into skill!
    Pricing: $5/person.
  • Where?/When?: Whitehall Public Library/Saturday, March 12, 1-3 p.m.
    Why Go?: Ann Ferrari, a Pittsburgh-based singer/songwriter, will bring St. Patrick's Day spirit to the Whitehall Library with her Celtic and Latin American folk music.
