Where?/When?: /Friday-Saturday, Dec. 2-3, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Why Go?: The Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God invite everyone to take a moment to stop, relax and reflect upon the true meaning of Christmas at their 8th Annual Crèche Display. Over 280 crèches and nativity scenes will be on display in the Sisters' lecture hall. Many are loaned to the community from Sisters' friends and family. Booklets with a brief description of each crèche will be given to attendees. Church, school and other organizational groups are welcome.
Pricing: FREE.

Where?/When?: /Friday, Dec. 2, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Why Go?: Good Shepherd's  hosts its annual Family Fun Night! The cost of admission includes two slices of pizza per person. There will be a bake sale, a basket raffle, a 50-50 drawing, storytime with Mrs. Claus, crafts and caroling! Call 412-884-3232 to sign up.
Pricing: $10 per family.

Where?/When?: /Friday-Saturday, Dec. 2-3, 7 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 3-4, 2 p.m.
Why Go?: The Pittsburgh Youth Ballet Company & School presents “The Nutcracker.” Bring the whole family to enjoy this classic holiday production. The performance will be held on the stage of the Upper St. Clair Theater, located at . Call 724-969-6000 for tickets.
Pricing: Ranges from $10-$20 per ticket.

Where?/When?: South Park Nature Center/Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m.
Why Go?: The South Park Nature Center will host “Bird Nests: Exposed and Explained.” The class will educate participants on the many shapes and sizes of bird nests, as well as the various materials used in their construction. Those interested in attending should meet at the Oliver Miller Homestead parking lot on Stone Manse Drive in South Park. The class is appropriate for youths and adults.
Pricing: FREE.

Where?/When?: /Saturday, Dec. 3, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Why Go?: Santa Claus is stopping by Saint Albert's for a special lunch. Enjoy lunch, crafts, ice cream, a Chinese auction, a raffle and more! Call 412-884-7744 to order tickets.
Pricing: $8 per admission.

Where?/When?: /Saturday, Dec. 3, 1-3 p.m.
Why Go?: Children will move through a life-sized board game, stopping to meet special characters along the way. Online registration is required. A $3 donation will be collected at the door for each child. This program is for children aged 3 years of age or older. Call 412-882-6622 to sign up!
Pricing: $3 per entry.

Where?/When?: Century III Mall (West Mifflin Borough)/Saturday, Dec. 3, 1 p.m.
Why Go?: WDDZ-AM (also known as Radio Disney) will be at Century III Mall for family fun, including music, games and prizes! The Salvation ArmyGreater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, the Arthritis Foundation and Operation Troop Appreciation are accepting donations.
Pricing: A donation to one of the organizations listed above.

Where?/When?: /Saturday, Dec. 3, 5-8 p.m.
Why Go?: Guided journey groups will start every 10-15 minutes. This event begins outside with a walk to Mary's house, to Joseph's carpenter shop, to the centurion's post, to see the angels, to a field with shepherds and live animals, and to the stable. As you leave the stable, you will meet the wise men. As you enter the fellowship hall, you are invited to make a craft in Joseph's shop, have refreshments at the Bethlehem Inn and join in caroling at “Grandma's House.” Don't miss the room of nativity displays.
Pricing: A free-will offering will be collected.

Where?/When?: /Sunday, Dec. 4, 1 p.m.
Why Go?: Bring the whole family to the 2010 film The Christmas Bunny, starring Florence Henderson. The movie is about a sad and lonely foster child who finds an injured and lost bunny on Christmas Eve. There will be a silent auction and reception before the screening.
Pricing: $10 per admission.

Where?/When?: Oliver Miller Homestead (South Park Township)/Sunday, Dec. 4, 1:30-4:30 p.m.
Why Go?: The Oliver Miller Homestead will celebrate Scots Sunday, a fun-filled day that pays tribute to Oliver Miller's Scottish heritage. The homestead will feature dancing, games, food and talents. The Scots Dancers will perform traditional dances in a newly constructed barn, and guests will be invited to join in on the fun. A bonfire will add to the atmosphere. Scots Tea will be on display in the Keeping Room, and food will be prepared in an open hearth fireplace.
Pricing: $2 per admission.

Dance Workshop by Shari is having a "Gifts of Dance" show at Baldwin High School on Saturday at 7:30. It is a $7.00 donation at the door. I believe all proceeds go to Children's Hospital.
