This week's planner features great deals and events to celebrate Veterans Day in and around Baldwin-Whitehall.

Where?/When?: Andrew Carnegie Music Hall (Carnegie Borough)/Thursday-Sunday, Nov. 10-13, 8 p.m.
Why Go?: "Hello, Dolly!" is musical-theater heaven. Dolly Levi, a widowed matchmaker, takes the single men of Yonkers, NY, on an unforgettable journey to New York City. Through hat shops and high-kicking waiters, parades and polka contests, the hilarious twists and turns bring everyone right back to Yonkers ... and love. After all, it only takes a moment!

Where?/When?: Jefferson Memorial Cemetery and Funeral Home (Pleasant Hills Borough)/Friday, Nov. 11, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Why Go?:  and Jefferson Memorial Park present a free Veterans Day Flu Shot Clinic! Come with your friends and family and get a flu shot. Many insurances are accepted. The Jefferson Cemetery staff will be on site to help you with any questions.

Where?/When?: Senator John Heinz History Center and Fort Pitt Museum/Friday, Nov. 11, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Why Go?: All U.S. military veterans and current servicemen/women will receive free admission to the Heinz History Center and the Fort Pitt Museum on Veterans Day. Visitors can express their patriotism and learn about those who fought for our freedom as part of the History Center's newest exhibition—Stars & Stripes: An American Story. The 7,000-square-foot exhibit details the stories of the people behind the more than 200-year history of the American flag—our nation's most enduring symbol.
Pricing: This free admission offer extends to veterans, current servicemen/women and one family member per free admission. General admission is $10 per adult, $9 per senior citizen, $5 per student with ID and $5 per child aged 4 to 17. Children aged 3 and younger get in for free.

Where?/When?: Downtown Pittsburgh/Friday, Nov. 11, 10:30 a.m.
Why Go?: Come show your support at this monumental parade. The Veterans Day Parade will start at the Greyhound bus station on Liberty Avenue and march up Grant Street and down the Boulevard of the Allies.
Pricing: FREE.

Where?/When?: Atria's/Friday, Nov. 11, All day.
Why Go?: On Veterans Day, all seven Pittsburgh-area Atria's will be hosting a fundraiser for Military Connections. Simply take to an area Atria's, and 15 percent of your check will be donated to Military Connections!
Pricing: Free admission.

Where?/When?: Community College of Allegheny County-South (West Mifflin Borough)/Saturday, Nov. 12, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Why Go?: The Community College of Allegheny County's South Campus Student Government Association will host a Flea Market/Craft Expo at the South Campus gymnasium. Local vendors, craft artists and others will sell wares, including toys, games, electronics and more. Ten percent of the proceeds from the event will benefit the American Red Cross for Tropical Storm Lee relief. The event is open to the public.
Pricing: Varies, though admission is free.

Where?/When?: /Saturday, Nov. 12, 1 p.m.
Why Go?: Duquesne University professor Joseph F. Rishel has compiled the memories of 17 Pittsburgh-area residents who lived through the years of World War II, from GIs serving overseas to real-life Rosie the Riveters who kept mills and factories in operation at home. Rishel will relay stories of combat, hardships at home, schoolchildren collecting scrap metal, USO dances and wartime sweethearts. Rishel's book is titled Pittsburgh Remembers World War II. Call 412-882-6622 to register for the event. Books will be available for purchase.
Pricing: Admission is free.

Where?/When?: Nativity Parish Social Hall (South Park Township)/Saturday, Nov. 12, 6 p.m.
Why Go?: Enjoy a "Night at the Races" at this exciting fundraiser, where guests can sponsor a horse that is running in a pre-recorded video in order to win a prize. Ticket price includes a buffet dinner by Rowdy BBQ Take-Out & Catering, dessert, beverages and a horse in one of the races. Proceeds will benefit Saint Katharine Drexel School. This event is for those aged 21 and over.
Pricing: $25 per person.

Where?/When?: /Saturday, Nov. 12, 7 p.m.-1 a.m.
Why Go?: Prior's is celebrating one year of existence by welcoming DJ Steve Maffei and the Coors Light Girls! Come down for great beer specials, food specials and prizes!
Pricing: Varies, though admission is free.

10.
Where?/When?: /Sunday, Nov. 13, 3 p.m.
Why Go?: The River City Brass Band will perform at Baldwin High. Come experience this musical event!
