Here are our top 10 local events for this weekend.

Got no idea what you'll do this weekend? Patch is coming to the rescue. We've got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

It's a good idea to have CASH ready for these events.

1.
Where?/When?: /Thursday, July 14, 9-10 a.m.
Why Go?: Water aerobics is a great way to stay fit. Participants will use a pool noodle to jog, stretch and exercise in the water. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Don't wait much longer. The season ends around Labor Day.
Pricing: $50 for the season.

2. 
Where?/When?: South Park Wave Pool/Thursday, July 14, 10-10:45 a.m.
Why Go?: The Allegheny County Parks Department is offering free swimming lessons at the South Park swimming pool. Participants must be 5 years of age or older. Classes for individuals with last names beginning with "A" through "K" are held on Tuesdays, and classes for individuals with last names beginning with "L" through "Z" are held on Thursdays.
Pricing: FREE.

Where?/When?: Michaels in Bethel Park/Thursday, July 14, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. 
Why Go?: Michaels continues its Passport to Fun summer program with French-themed activities. Children aged 3 and older will create an impressionist-style painting and a little Frenchman character (while supplies last).
Pricing: Free with purchase of supplies.

Where?/When?: /Thursday, July 14, noon-3 p.m.
Why Go?: Who says adults can't have fun, too?! Stop by the  to play classic games like Pictionary, UNO, dominoes and more!
Pricing: FREE.

Where?/When?: /Thursday, July 14, 6-10 p.m.
Why Go?: This Thirsty Thursday event offers you a great way to organize your photos, layout albums and journals, et al. Each week, the meetings' group will try a different beverage—from iced teas to smoothies!
Pricing: $5.

Where?/When?: /Thursday, July 14, 7-11 p.m. (Doors open at 6 p.m.)
Why Go?: Not only is this weekly event a Whitehall Borough staple, but there's a free dinner if you play!

Where?/When?: Whitehall Public Library/Friday, July 15, 1-3:30 p.m.
Why Go?: This is a six-week workshop series for senior citizens. The program is designed for adults dealing with ongoing health conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis and/or heart disease. Participants will learn strategies for living a happier, healthier life. Register online.
Pricing: FREE.

Where?/When?: Whitehall Public Library/Friday, July 15, 6-8 p.m.
Why Go?: Teens are invited to stop by the Whitehall Library to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
Pricing: FREE.

Where?/When?: /Friday, July 15, 7 p.m.
Why Go?: Every team will receive one large cheese pizza and one pitcher of beer or pop. The league will consist of three games, four people per team.
Pricing: $10 per week per person.

10.
Where?/When?: South Park Fairgrounds/Sunday, July 17, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Why Go?: Bring the whole family to this interesting parade of vehicles with trophies awarded every hour. There will be food raffles, vendors and classic tunes performed by Johnny Angel & the Halos. Proceeds benefit recreational sports groups in Bethel Park.
Pricing: $2 donation per spectator. (Kids under 17 years old are admitted free.)
