Where?/When?: /Saturday, Oct. 15, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Why Go?: This is a catered ladies luncheon with guest speaker Donna Best. There will be an open coffee bar and child care for children up to 10 years old. The topic is "The Lives We Construct." This one-hour message begins with some background of the author's own life experiences, as the Lord has taken her through the repentance and restoration process. Psalm 127:1 is the basis for this teaching: "Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain." The truth is that we all construct our own lives from childhood, and often continue doing so after conversion, rather than surrendering control to the Lord. The message challenges women to reject the self-centered life based on human reasoning and move toward the life that is fully surrendered to the will and purposes of God.
