Watch the Highlanders girls in the WPIAL basketball quarterfinals on Friday night! Live music and an all-you-can-bowl special at Legacy Lanes on Friday night isn't bad either.

The work week's almost over, and you've got no idea what you're doing this weekend.

Patch is coming to the rescue. We've got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities to hit and new bars/restaurants/shops to explore.

1.) Go Highlanders!
Where?/When?: Baldwin High School's varsity girls basketball team continues its quest for a 2011 WPIAL AAAA championship with a quarterfinals playoffs game against Oakland Catholic High School at neutral-site North Allegheny High School on Friday, Feb. 25, at 6:30 p.m.
Why Go?: Baldwin is many folks' dark-horse pick to come away with a WPIAL title this year. Take the kids; it's always fun to root on the Highlanders! Read the Baldwin-Whitehall Patch's playoffs preview . Click here for the tournament bracket.
Pricing: $6 for anyone at the gate, but Baldwin and Oakland Catholic high schools are selling tickets ahead of time for $4 (students) and $6 (all other persons) each. Bring CASH.

2.) Like Wrestling? REAL Wrestling?
Where?/When?:  is the site of the WPIAL AAA Section 2 individual wrestling championships on Saturday, Feb. 26, starting at 9:30 a.m.
Why Go?: This is the first time that Baldwin wrestling will host an individual section championships meet. Bouts begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, and the top five finishers in each weight class will qualify for the overall WPIAL championships. Click here for the tournament bracket.
Pricing: No advance sale of tickets. Adult tickets are $6 for each session (9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.), and student tickets are $4 for each session. The gym will be cleared between sessions. Pre-kindergarten children are admitted FREE. Bring CASH.

3.) Live Music + Bowling
Where?/When?:  is hosting a live band on Friday night, Feb. 25. The Elliotts will be performing music that night from the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Tom Petty, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Badfinger, Led Zepplin, Cream and more! The fun starts at 9 p.m.
Why Go?: The Elliotts have a strong reputation and actually performed during Beatles Week in Liverpool, England, so go rock and roll (some bowling balls) over at Legacy Lanes on Friday night.
Pricing: $3 cover charge. (If you want to bowl, Legacy Lanes charges $12/person on Friday nights from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. for an all-you-can-bowl special, including shoes.) Bring CASH for the cover charge.

4.) Highlanders Hockey
Where?/When?: Baldwin High School's varsity boys hockey team competes for the last time this season with a home game against at the Ice Castle in Castle Shannon on Thursday, Feb. 24, at 6:40 p.m.
Why Go?: Senior Day festivities should be expected. And, come on, it's hockey!
Pricing: FREE.

5.) Let's Get Serious for a Minute: Marriage Preparation Program
Where?/When?:  Cafeteria/Sunday, Feb. 27, 7 p.m.
Why Go?: This is a four-night Pre-Cana program for engaged couples.
Pricing: $60/couple. RSVP required. Call Vic & Carol DeFazio.
