Freeze Warning Issued for Baldwin, Whitehall Monday Morning

Call it winter's last gasp.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for the Baldwin-Whitehall area for Monday morning. The warning goes into effect at 1 a.m. and lasts until 9 a.m.

The temperature is expected to dip into the 20s.

A freeze watch also remains in effect from late Monday night through Tuesday morning.

If you've recently planted summer flowers, you will need to cover them, or if they are in pots, bring them inside.

Here's a closer look at the detailed forecast:

• Sunday Night: Isolated showers before midnight. Patchy frost after 1 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. West wind of 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
• Monday: Isolated showers after 11 a.m. Patchy frost before 9 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 51. West wind of 8 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
• Monday Night: Patchy frost after 2 a.m. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 36. Northwest wind of 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Tuesday: Patchy frost before 10 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 62. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
