B-W Trivia Answers: What Store, What Garage, and Where?

ANSWERS: Alright, folks, you pretty much had it. The answers are Bonomi's General Store, Vic Bonomi's Garage and along Streets Run Road.

The Baldwin Historical Society brings you another trivia question that delves into our area's colorful past. Pat Lombardi and Patty Woehler, co-presidents of the society, generously write the questions and provide the pictures.

Here is this week's question, er ... questions:

This picture is from around 1950.

The store sold groceries, general merchandise and many mining supplies, and the garage sold gas, did inspections and made various car repairs.

The nearby road originally went through the creek in front of the store. A bridge was constructed in 1936 so that the coal trucks could get across the creek in the winter. The bridge was removed in 1955, and the road was made to run straight as it (relatively) does today.
