B-W Patch Whiz Kids Winners: Andy and Ally Carver

Each week, the Baldwin-Whitehall Patch  for individual kids, youth groups, teens and/or sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments for its Whiz Kids articles. We want to hear about these amazing children and teens, so send us your nominations.

Introducing this week's Whiz Kids: Andy and Ally Carver, 11 and 7, respectively, and both home-schooled students in the .

While Andy is into the martial arts – he has already attained a red belt in Tang Soo Do (and is a self-taught reader) – Ally is into the performing arts, such as dancing and singing. Ally also plays the flute.

According to their mother, 1986 graduate and lifelong resident Lisa Carver, what truly makes Andy and Ally stand out from other children their ages is "their kindness toward each other as siblings" despite different interests.

Carver also mentions that Andy naturally takes to geography and history and that Ally is an above-average reader, writer and drawer.
