5 Things You Need to Know About Pittsburgh Restaurant Week

A few restaurants from the South Hills are participating.

Those of you looking to try a new or trendy dining experience have an excuse to book a reservation: Pittsburgh Restaurant Week begins on Monday. 

Here are five things that diners need to know:

1. Pittsburgh Restaurant Week runs from Monday, Aug. 12, through Sunday, Aug. 18.

2. The mission of Pittsburgh Restaurant Week is to "highlight the wide-ranging dining options that Pittsburgh has to offer and bring individuals from surrounding boroughs or suburbs to the city to walk the streets and enjoy a meal at a special discounted price."

3. Diners can normally choose from discounted three-course fixed-price meals or specials for $20.13 at the participating restaurants.

4. There are 69 restaurants participating in the greater Pittsburgh area. Some nearby restaurants that are participating include Arpino Trattoria in Scott Township, Bistro 19 in Mt. Lebanon and Club Colony in Mt. Lebanon. Click here to see the full list and the deals that each restaurants is offering.
