5 Things Baldwin-Whitehall Folks Would Like to Know This Week

Dunkin' Donuts, Liberty Tunnels, 'School of Glee' auditions, and more.

Busy week! Here are five things that you'll want to know:

1. The Dunkin' Donuts along Route 51 in Brentwood Borough opens on Monday, Aug. 19. There will be a number of events at the former Arby's location in order to celebrate, including a free Dunkin' travel mug for the first 100 people, a Val Porter (WDVE) meet-and-greet from noon to 2, Stage AE concert ticket giveaways, pictures with "Cuppy" and "Donut," and face-painting for kids. The store opens at 5 a.m.

2. The northbound (inbound) Liberty Tunnel is still completely closed, 24 hours per day, until the morning of Aug. 30.

3. Toddler Storytime is on Thursdays at the Baldwin Borough Public Library from 11:30 a.m. to noon. No registration is required. Toddlers (ages 2-3) will share stories, movement, songs and a craft.

4. The weather should be pretty nice this week, with temperatures mostly in the 80s. Click here for the 10-day forecast.

5. The "School of Glee" is accepting applications for its fall session. Songs range from a Styx classic to a number from the musical "Matilda" to one about zombies. Kids in grades 6 through 12 can audition. There is no fee. Complete this form to apply.
