Have you ever wondered what your favorite movies looked like before they were movies? Every good film starts with a good screenplay, but how do you write a screenplay?

This workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of narrative storytelling for film and how it differs from other forms of creative writing. Using examples from contemporary film scripts, you will learn about structure, character, action, dialogue and format as they are used in the movies you know and love. Bring your ideas for your own movie to use for fun exercises and discussion! Online registration is required.

Whitehall Public Library

If a library is supposed to act as a town's community resource, then the Whitehall Public Library definitely fits the bill. The Whitehall Library, part of the large Borough of Whitehall Municipal Complex, is really a de facto community center where Whitehall residents, young and old, gather to read a newspaper, check their email or even play cards in the Community Room. Not only does the library offer a vast selection of books, movies and music, but the activities sponsored by the library are seemingly endless as well. Take your pick from Teen Gaming Night to Book Babies to Adult Coffee Time.
