Work Coming to Route 51 Wednesday, Thursday
Temporary lane closures and restrictions are expected in our area.
Crews from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11-0 will cause temporary lane closures and restrictions for pavement core drilling across a large part of Route 51 on Wednesday and Thursday nights, weather permitting.
Restrictions will occur as needed on both nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The work is needed for future improvements.
The work will stretch from Fidelity Drive in south Baldwin Borough to Stewart Avenue on the border of Whitehall Borough and Pittsburgh's Overbrook neighborhood—an approximately 3.1-mile stretch that runs north from Baldwin through Whitehall through Brentwood Borough and through Whitehall again.
