A Baldwin Borough police officer stopped a motorist near the intersection of Becks Run and Agnew roads at around 1:12 a.m. on Sunday for speeding and swerving.
The officer reported that, while speaking with the motorist—Catherine Anderson, 23, of Hummingbird Lane in Allegheny Township—he smelled alcohol coming from Anderson's breath.
The officer administered a breath-analyzer test, which Anderson failed, before putting her through field-sobriety tests. She failed those, as well.
The officer arrested Anderson and charged her with suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. She was then taken to the Baldwin police station, where she failed another breath-analyzer test.
She was eventually taken to a friend's residence in Brentwood Borough and released.
