What Is Your Neighborhood's Median Income?

'Rich Blocks, Poor Blocks' Map lets you see the median income for your neighborhood in Baldwin-Whitehall and surrounding communities.

An interactive map at the Rich Blocks, Poor Blocks website offers a glimpse at median household incomes, by neighborhoods, in the Baldwin-Whitehall area—or anywhere in the country.

Take, for instance, the central Baldwin Borough area below Whitehall and Brentwood boroughs and east of Route 51. The Rich Blocks, Poor Blocks website shows that area's median household income to be $64,071 per year.

The neighborhood just south of that, in the Brownsville Road/Horning area, shows a much-lower median household income of $34,868.

Most of north Baldwin has a median income of $46,563, but some parts of north Baldwin are doing much better than that ($61,636).

The median household income in most of Whitehall—between $46,000 and $47,000—is lower than that of a large part of south Baldwin ($52,083), while all of Baldwin Township is basically the same ($63,500).

Editor's note: The map was created by Chris Persuad, an editorial research specialist for Bankrate.com, during his spare time.

no jwill it didn't strike a nerve at all. Look at the homes in Whitehall and compare them to Baldwin homes.

I do, every week, with the interesting homes for sale listed here, and I see homes of equal value but with Whitehall taxes being way higher.
Of course when I mentioned this that's when you claimed Whitehall was so much more "classy". Which, of course, is now a big joke here.
No offense to other nice people in Whitehall, I know quite a few, and that you are not at all like cc.
Baldwin neighbor,
Ned.

You don't need money to be classy. From Merriam Webster online dictionary:
Definition of CLASSY
: having or showing class: as a : elegant, stylish <a classy clientele>

b : having or reflecting high standards of personal behavior <a classy guy> <a classy gesture>

c : admirably skillful and graceful <a classy outfielder>
— class·i·ness noun

jwill, then it leaves you queen of the welfare line. Lets meet and see your membership card to South Hills Country Club, not many members live in Baldwin, but do live in Whitehall.

Make sure you look at the other map too. If you want to rent in Whitehall it is higher. I wonder why... maybe because it is classier???

Well cc since you think I am queen of welfare, why would a classy lady like you want to meet someone like me? You must be so unhappy in your life you need to put people down all the time. I actually feel sorry for you.
