Theft, Assault, Heroin Cases (and Others) All Heard in Whitehall Court

Judge Barton's office is at Caste Village.

The following results are from recent hearings held in the Caste Village office of Magistrate David J. Barton of District Court 05-2-17:

Whitehall Borough Charges

  • Whitehall Borough police charged Michael Kuol, 26, of 1651 Skyline Drive, Apt. 15, in Whitehall's Wallace (Prospect) Park area, with harassment and public drunkenness and Junior S. Mulbah, 27, of 1651 Skyline, Apt. 3, with disorderly conduct, both on March 22. On July 9, Barton found Kuol not guilty of the harassment charge and dismissed Kuol's public drunkenness charge. He also dismissed Mulbah's disorderly conduct charge.

  • Whitehall police charged Michael Ryan Graziano, 32, of 4844 Old Boston Rd. in Whitehall, with possession of both heroin and drug paraphernalia on April 6. Graziano pleaded guilty on Aug. 7 only to disorderly conduct, though, and Barton withdrew charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

  • Whitehall police charged Jennifer Schaad, 47, of 5233 Sherwood Dr. in Whitehall, with public intoxication on April 13. Barton dismissed that charge on Aug. 30.

  • Whitehall police charged Donald Dwyer, 22, of 1218 Rossner Ave. in Duquesne, with attempted theft from a vehicle and loitering or prowling at night on July 22. Dwyer's Aug. 14 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Sept. 27 (UPDATE: rescheduled for Oct. 30).

  • Whitehall police charged Michael Fazio, 22, of 1838 Parkline Dr., Apt. 13, in the Prospect Park area, with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct; Daniel Laplace Jr., 23, of 649 Glowood Dr. in Whitehall, with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, simple assault and harassment; and Raymond Fleisner, 21, of 1556 Barnes Ave. in South Park Township, and Nathan Reed, 18, of 352 Benson Cir. in Whitehall, with disorderly conduct, all stemming from an incident at Caste Village on June 29. On Aug. 21, Barton withdrew Fazio's assault charge, but his remaining charges were waived for a hearing at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Oct. 4. On Aug. 28, Barton withdrew Laplace's aggravated assault charge, but his remaining charges were waived for a hearing at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Oct. 12. On Sept. 5, Barton found Reed guilty of his charge and fined him approximately $240. Fleisner will face his charge before Barton on Sept. 14.

  • Whitehall police charged Jared Ryan Humphrey, 22, of 1621 Skyline, Apt. 5, with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and Brandon Patrick Osborne, 20, of 502 Maytide St. in Pittsburgh's Overbrook neighborhood, with possession of a controlled substance, both stemming from a July 2 incident. Barton held Humphrey's charge on July 17, and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Aug. 29. His case will now be part of an Oct. 3 docket conference. That conference should result in the next legal step for Humphrey's charge. Barton withdrew Osborne's charge on Aug. 28.

Wow imagine if Skyline Dr dissapeared how much more time the courts and police would have...

I agree Margaret. Couldn't it be said too if Baldwin Borough didn't have a bunch of drunks, the judge would be out of a job.

I've noticed a lot of DUIs are people that aren't from Baldwin. They seem to be "passing through".
