Route 88 Drainage Improvements Next Week in Castle Shannon

Work starts on Monday, July 23.

Work to improve drainage and shoulders on Route 88 in Castle Shannon Borough will occur from Monday-Thursday, July 23-26, weather permitting.

The work will affect traffic between Havelock Street and 6th Street/Killarney Drive, according to a news release from Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11-0. Traffic will be reduced to single-lane alternating use as needed along that stretch from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The contractor for the work is Allison Park Contractors, Inc., of Shaler Township.

Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays when traveling through the work zone.
