Results from Magisterial District Court 05-2-17

Judge Barton's jurisdiction includes Whitehall Borough and Baldwin Township.

 

The following results are from recent hearings held in the Caste Village office of Magistrate David J. Barton of District Court 05-2-17:

 

 

 

  • Whitehall police charged Brian Fields, 34, of 131 Merritt Ave. in Pittsburgh's Carrick neighborhood, with retail theft on Jan. 4. Barton withdrew that charge on March 20.

 

 

 

 

  • Whitehall police charged Janet Lynn Peters, 32, of 2117 Brownsville Rd., Apt. 35B, in Carrick, with theft and receiving stolen property on Feb. 21. Barton withdrew those charges on April 3.

 

 

  • Whitehall police charged James Pierre Scott Jr., 22, of 2155 Elmore Sq. in Pittsburgh's Terrace Village neighborhood, with possession of marijuana on March 3. Barton withdrew that charge on April 17.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Jared McKee, 26, of Mattern Avenue in Dormont, with DUI on Dec. 11. McKee's Feb. 21 hearing before Barton was waived, and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 9. His case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for May 22. That conference should result in the next legal step for McKee's charge.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Brandon Bostocky, 34, of Bristol Street on the border of Pittsburgh's Hazelwood and Greenfield neighborhoods, with DUI on Jan. 4. Bostocky's Feb. 21 hearing before Barton was waived, and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 9. His case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for May 9. That conference should result in the next legal step for Bostocky's charge.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Ian Livingston, 28, of Chelton Avenue in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood, with DUI on Jan. 15. Livingston's Feb. 21 hearing before Barton was waived, and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 9. Livingston was granted an ARD hearing to begin on May 18.

 

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Joseph Rotunda, 23, of Biltmore Avenue in Dormont, with DUI on Sept. 25. Rotunda's Jan. 10 hearing before Barton was waived, and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 28. His case was then part of a docket conference scheduled for April 11. Rotunda pled guilty during that conference and was sentenced to complete a 90-day individualized program plan and 18 months of probation.
