Results from Magisterial District Court 05-2-17
Judge Barton's jurisdiction includes Whitehall Borough and Baldwin Township.
The following results are from recent hearings held in the Caste Village office of Magistrate David J. Barton of District Court 05-2-17:
- Whitehall Borough police charged Shawn Patrick Judy, 40, of 318 35th Ave. in McKeesport, PA, with possession of a controlled substance on Nov. 15. That charge was withdrawn on Dec. 20.
- Whitehall Borough police charged Robert Bryan Weisen, 22, of 1315 Rodgers St. in Pittsburgh's Lincoln Place neighborhood, with assault, harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from a Nov. 20 incident at the Route 51 Eat'n Park. Weisen's Dec. 20 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 8.
- Whitehall police charged Christopher Carr, 39, of 1691 Skyline Drive, Apt. 7, in Whitehall, with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and forgery and Lisa Marie Victorelli, 39, of 1691 Skyline, Apt. 6, with forgery, criminal conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance, all stemming from a late November incident. Carr's criminal mischief charge was withdrawn on Dec. 13, but his remaining charges were all waived for court. He will face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 1. Victorelli faces a Jan. 31 hearing before Barton.
- Whitehall police charged Chuundu Mooba Habulembe, 31, of 1650 Parkline Drive, Apt. 3, in Whitehall, with two counts of harassment on July 19. Habulembe's July 26 hearing before Barton was waived, and he faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Sept. 9. It was determined that Habulembe would have a status hearing on Nov. 10. One of the harassment charges was ultimately withdrawn, but Habulembe pled guilty to the other charge on Dec. 9. However, after paying $733.84 in court costs, he faces no further penalty.
- Whitehall police charged Michael Joel Castoreno, 31, of 1821 Parkline, Apt. 30, in Whitehall, with simple assault, criminal mischief and recklessly endangering another person on Aug. 7. It was determined on Aug. 16 that Castoreno would face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Sept. 30, where it was then decided that he would face a pre-trial conference on Nov. 10. At that conference, it was determined that he would have a non-jury trial starting on Dec. 5. Castoreno pled guilty to the simple assault and criminal mischief charges, while the recklessly endangering another person charge was withdrawn. Castoreno was sentenced to 60 to 120 days of confinement, followed by two years of probation.
- Whitehall police charged Rayshon Shields, 19, of 69 Harwood St. in Pittsburgh's Allentown neighborhood, with receiving stolen property (auto), providing false identification to law enforcement and careless driving on Oct. 10. Barton held those charges on Oct. 25, and Shields faced a Dec. 14 hearing at the Allegheny County Courthouse. He will now face a pre-trial conference on Feb. 3.
- Jerome Dolney, 28, of 539 Wilson Ave. in Clairton, PA, who was charged with possession of a controlled substance on Sept. 11 and then failed to appear for a hearing before Barton on Oct. 18, was found by constables working for Barton on Nov. 11 and taken to Allegheny County Jail. However, the possession charge was withdrawn on Nov. 22.
- Whitehall police charged Jamie Lynn Reis, 28, of 3783 Churchview Ave. in Baldwin Borough, with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia on June 22 after Reis was found lying in distress on the floor of the ladies bathroom at the Route 51 Eat'n Park that day. Reis' Sept. 27 hearing before Barton was waived, and she faced her charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Nov. 15. Her case was then part of a Jan. 3 docket conference, where she pled guilty to the possession of a controlled substance charge and was sentenced to six months of probation. The possession of drug paraphernalia charge was withdrawn.
- Baldwin Township police charged Stephen Zimdahl, of Sheila Drive in Green Tree Borough, with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and failure to drive on the right side of the road on July 20. Zimdahl's Aug. 30 hearing before Barton was waived, and he faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Oct. 17. Zimdahl was granted an accelerated rehabilitative disposition (ARD) hearing to begin on Dec. 2, and he entered a six-month ARD program. Should Zimdahl complete the program, his charges will be dismissed.
- Baldwin Township police charged Timothy Hramika, 27, of Knight Drive in South Park Township, with suspicion of DUI on Aug. 11. Hramika's Sept. 20 hearing before Barton was waived, and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Nov. 4, where it was determined that his case would be part of a docket conference scheduled for Dec. 20. Hramika pled guilty to the DUI charge and was sentenced to 30 days of having his driving privileges limited to work, school and medical purposes and six months of probation.
- Baldwin Township police charged Anthony Yost, 49, of Jacob Street in Pittsburgh's Overbrook neighborhood, with DUI, driving with a suspended license and failure to drive on the right side of the road on June 18. Yost faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Dec. 12, where it was determined that his case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for Jan. 17. That conference should result in the next legal step for Yost's charges.
- Baldwin Township police charged Jennifer Irwin, 31, of McRoberts Road in Castle Shannon Borough, with drug possession on Sept. 24. Irwin's Dec. 20 hearing before Barton was waived, and she will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Feb. 8.
