We like this restaurant in the Sassy Jack household. The homemade chips are a fine delicacy. During our last experience, which was sometime in late 2012, we noticed that the smell of feces and cigarette smoke which emanated in the bar room was no longer present in the dining area. This upgrade was nice.

LOL. I can see the advertising campaign: "Now with 50% less fecal smell!!!"

Margaret the GetAWay servers really good food. The owner Lou is a wonderful person. They go out of their way to treat their customers right.

They have really went downhill even with the "new menu" from a few month back. Head down the street to Amel's instead. Best food in the South Hills period!

Thanks Casey. Someone else in the neighborhood just said they didn't like it there.

Casey needs to head down to the local elementary school and learn to write a sentence!

Wow, now there's a ringing endorsement, LOL!
Think I'll eat elsewhere.

I consider you all Whiteheads!

For reference, the term “Whitehead” has been copyrighted by Uncle Helix to mean friends from the Whitehall area.

You attract me to each of your comments by thrusting my emotions (in a good way) to the forefront. For that, I am ever grateful.

Based on this beautiful dialog, I will no longer eat while feces and cigarette smoke waft around my weave and homemade potato chips. I will heed Casey’s direction and instead choose Amel’s for the South Hills fine delicacy. I must admit, based on the sign, I thought this was a place that sold magic carpets….tisk tisk….shame on me.

Whiteheads?
I see your stated definition, but whiteheads are pimples, right? (No offense to any NICE people from WHITEHALL!!!)

Ned- Uncle Helix has noted the fact that Whiteheads are pimples. He is going to work tirelessly to amend the initial definition with the appropriate parties so that all friends from Whitehall can call themselves Whiteheads unashamedly.

Uncle Helix would also like to point out that our mayor Jim Nowalk is a Whitehead not because he has white hair but because he is considered a pseudo friend.

Therefore, I appreciate your candidness and will award 1 point to Brentwood.

Please explain what is this competition you have between Whitehall and Brentwood, and what does it have to do with a restaurant in Baldwin Township?

Haha. Margaret - I must admit I have been enjoying my fair share of the seasonal gingerbeer but not so much as Uncle Helix! He is out of his mind. I think he is giddy due to the change of BHS football head coaches. Have a wonderful Friday, my friend. God bless you.

Ned,

From what I gather, you may be under the impression that Uncle Helix is a PAGAN (Person Against Goodness And Normalcy). As you state, you are a Baldwin neighbor and cannot be a Whitehead. For that, Uncle Helix is sorry. I have known him my whole life and a PAGAN is so far from what he is, it is boarder line absurd.

As far as the score keeping, the competition is with Whitehall and Brentwood as being neighbors. It is all in good fun and we hope that it develops into fund raisers for both community libraries. Scores are awarded by a jury of peers.

God bless you and baby Jesus.

My father was a PAGAN and was shunned to the chicken cages in Slovakia. I am to a PAGAN, and I moved here to Pittsburg when I was 9. I am Yergi Maravichia, son of Pikastan Maravichia. When I first moved here to Pittsburg they sent me to a chicken farm to raise and transport chickens, I could not do, for I pictured my father in those cages.
