Police Find Marijuana Plants in Whitehall Boro
The plants were located between East Willock and Doyle roads.
Acting on an anonymous tip, Whitehall Borough police officers discovered marijuana seedlings in a large wooded area in the rear of the 4900 block of East Willock Road at around 7:51 a.m. on Wednesday.
Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said that the plants—one of which stretched to about 2 feet tall—appeared to be there for cultivation and use.
Municipal workers from Whitehall removed the plants—about 10 of them—and destroyed them, Dolfi said.
Officers talked to people in the vicinity of the discovery, which stretches from East Willock to Doyle Road, but have not able to determine who planted the controlled substance.
The incident is under investigation.

It's marijuana people. Get over it. I found 30 bottles of alchohol down the street at a bar the other day. They impaired likely 75% of the people who left there in thier car that day. Marijuana is not a threat to society whatsoever.

Right. And they are the ones listed under the DUIs.

Isn't this the same area where they found many plants growing years ago. I remember them burning off the area and the jokes about that. Smoke all over the place.

wow, we are so safe now. what a waste of time. tell them to sit in the parking log of the prospect park apartments instead of looking for some old hippie's pot in the woods.

There is Marijuana every where so should we have a police officer sit on every street, every parking lot in Whitehall. Maybe we should get them to sit up at the High School Parking Lots when school is back in session. Have one Police Officer in each bathrooms in the BHS and HMS. Drugs are everywhere and we as parents need to teach our children about staying away from drugs.

Jean, I agree. Chasing down weed is a waste of police time. Go after hard drugs, or drunks causing problems.

haahahha, Maybe they can make a marijuana and fire-pit joint task force to tackle both problems! LOL JK!

Baldwin Guy The only problem we have with fire pits is one person doesn't like them, they are never outside of their home other then when they see you in their garden picking vegetables. They haven't had a window or their front door opened in the 25 years i've lived in my home. They also call the police if children are playing in the street or if someone parks a car in front of their home. Yet they never get company from anyone either.

cc- I bought a few patio stones from Busy Beaver to set the fire pit on in back. I had them in my truck but had to unload them to go out and pick up something else big at Lowe's. After I laid them down and left my (good) neighbor told me the crazy neighbor was lookiing down to see what I had done after I was gone. I wonder if I will get a visit from the bldg. inspector on Monday. I haven't put the firepit together yet. I will soon.

I didn't need a building permit to put in my fire pit. I called the building inspector to find out if I needed a permit and he said no. I would just ignore the neighbor when your doing the work. Just make sure that when you lay the patio stone down that they are level for when you put your fire pit on top of it.

I know. I have to get it level. It has been too hot for me to do anything out there until a cooler day.

I like to do my yard work anymore early in the morning before the heat sets in. I am happy that I just got the grass cut, looks like a nice storm is on the way.

Right.....marijuana is absolutely no threat at all. That is except for the drop in the users IQ the more he smokes. And everyone knows, there's nothing that we need more of around here than more stupid people!
