PHOTOS: Baldwin vs. Brentwood Youth Football
The Warriors took on the Dukes at Baldwin High School on Sunday.
Baldwin-Whitehall Patch reader and contributor Jeff Healy was at a youth football game between the Baldwin-Whitehall Warriors and Brentwood Dukes at Baldwin High School on Sunday.
Healy got some shots of the Baldwin-Whitehall squad, which is made up of players not older than 11 years, and was kind enough to share them with us by uploading them to Patch's Pics & Clips gallery.
Baldwin's 11-year-old team defeated Brentwood on Sunday, 36-6.
You, too, can add photos and/or videos to our Pics & Clips gallery. Just follow directions on the Pics & Clips page.
UPDATE: Reader Debbie Kemerer has added lots of photos, as well.

My hat is off to the volunteer coaches and parents who help to run both the Brentwood and Baldwin football programs. Programs like these are what makes a community viable. These coaches and parents do a tremendous job! "Thanks", from a long time Brentwood resident.

I love watching the little kids play football. Their games are much more interesting to watch then High School Football. To me the best age to go and see are the 6-7 year old, which my grandson plays on and it is great when they forget what goal post they are running to and the coach is yelling at them to turn around and go the other way.

CC- much more interesting than high school football? Are you referring to high school football in the b-w district or the wpial in general? Friday night lights in Western PA have arguably the greatest atmospheres in high school football across the nation let alone some of the best athletes.

Thomas I am talking about all high school football, not just Baldwin/Whitehall. I enjoy watching the little kids play (my grandson's age ) as they are so innocent when they try to hard to make the right plays and end up running towards the wrong goal till the coach has to tell them to run in the other direction because they forget what side of the field they are running to. Just like watching first year baseball when they hit the ball and run towards 3rd base then run straight across the field to get to first. Most of our football players were on a Pee Wee League and I'm sure their parents could tell you some funny stories watching the little ones play for the first year.
