Patch Pets: Lil' Ling Ling Longing for New Home

This Shar Pei was left due to landlord issues.

Meet Lil' Ling Ling—a unique Shar Pei mix in need of a "fur-ever" home.

The 2-year-old female was surrendered to the Animal Rescue League due to landlord issues.

Ling Ling's owner said that she loves car rides and other dogs and cats. She's also house-trained.

Ling Ling had eye surgery, resulting in her eyelashes growing inward and causing some irritation, so Animal Rescue League staff members recommend a home with older children.

One staff member recently took Ling Ling to an adoption event. The staff member said that Ling Ling was well-behaved. She was a bit shy, possibly due to her sore eye, but allowed people to pet her and gave out a lot of kisses.

"We think she will make a wonderful companion with the right family with previous dog experience," the Animal Rescue League states on its website.

For inquiries about this pet, call 412-661-6452, ext. 215.

Ling Ling's adoption fee is $115.

What a shame!
So is the poor thing stuck with this irritation forever?

I have had Sharpai's and most of them have to have the first layer of skin removed above their eyes as they can't see with the extra layer of skin. They are wonderful dogs to have, you can walk them around the border of your property a few times and they learn not to leave the yard. They are a shy breed and tend to run and hide.

Ling Ling can have surgery to fix the problem with her eye lids but guess Animal Friends doesn't have the funds to do corrective surgery to fix the problem. I have made a call down to the Shelter for her and waiting for a call back from them.
