UPDATES: One Dead, Two Taken to Hospital from Keenan Drive
Police are investigating the incident in south Baldwin Borough.
John Stephenson, 87, died at his home of 5425 Keenan Drive in south Baldwin Borough at 10:24 on Thursday night, a supervisor from the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office said.
A call came to the Allegheny County 911 Communications Center at 9:59 that night for a report that a car was running in that home's garage.
A Communications Center supervisor said that emergency workers removed three people from the house, two of whom were taken to a nearby hospital. The third person—Stephenson—was lying beneath a blue tarp in the front yard of that home until after midnight.
The medical conditions of the people taken to the hospital are unknown.
Keenan Drive was closed near its Brownsville Road intersection until 12:39 a.m. the next day, as officials from the South Baldwin Volunteer Fire Company, Baldwin Borough Police Department and Baldwin Emergency Medical Services were on the scene.

A thank you to Mrs. B-W Patch, who corrected Stephenson's last name on second reference.

Couldn't they have done something else with the body other than let him lay out in the front yard for all to see!!! i know he was covered , but geez!

If letting him lie there wasn't bad enough, someone was was disrespectful enough to take a picture and post as part of their story! How disrespectful!!!!!!

Maybe the levels of carbon monoxide were to high for the emergency responders to take the body back into the house.I'm sure they didn't want to disrespect the victim but the name of the game in first responders is everyone goes home. They don't lose thier lives saving the inevitable.

Jon, the first responders going home has absolutely nothing to do with leaving the body lay on the front lawn the way it was. They should of either put a sheet over him or put him in the emergency vehicle.

they moved the body just enough to where the medical examiner could get to him without contaminating any evidence. simple when you actually think about it. but i know you always correct tax paying public ALWAYS know whats best, come joing the fire an rescue department or better yet become an emt or paramedic , see how long the yuppies last.
