Roger J. Eyrolles, of Baldwin Borough, a longtime youth baseball coach in Baldwin-Whitehall, has died at the age of 62, according to his obituary in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Eyrolles had been diagnosed in July with pancreatic cancer, the Post-Gazette reported, and died on Tuesday.

According to the newspaper, Eyrolles coached youth baseball for more than 20 years, continuing to do so even after his son was done playing.

Friends will be received at Griffith Mortuary on Brownsville Road in South Park Township (just south of the Baldwin Borough border) this Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m., and a Mass will be celebrated at Nativity Catholic Church on Curry Road in South Park on Monday at 10 a.m.

The Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation, 20411 Route 19, Unit 14, Cranberry Township, PA 16066, is accepting memorial contributions.

Roger was my oldest son's baseball coach and was friends with his daughter Aubrey. I know his brother Larry really well and when the family got together it was a great time.
