LIST OF STREETS: Baldwin Council Pondering Parking Restrictions
Borough officials are considering plans to restrict parking on a number of roads.
Local council members are expected this month to revisit potential parking restrictions in Baldwin Borough.
The Baldwin Council will meet publicly for an agenda meeting on Tuesday, July 10, and for a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 17. Both meetings will start at 7:30 p.m. and will be held in the municipal auditorium or, if crowds are sparse, the nearby council chambers.
Below is a list of potential parking restrictions that the council could soon start to direct Baldwin police to enforce.
The list was put together through recommendations made by officials from Baldwin's fire companies. Public safety has been cited as a reason for the potential restrictions, as has the need to allow snowplows to navigate roads easier.
The Recommendations:

Very curious how they chise these particular streets for restrictions. Blossom and Elaine? But none of the other streets that run parallel to those two have been slated for restrictions.

This is a waste of time. Cite one example where someone was injured or someone killed because of streets because a vehicle couldn't get down a street. I'd like the officers to show on their dash cams a time where people parking regularly restricted them coming down a street. Probably only happens when some clown double parks, which they would do anyway with or without this law in effect. Way to go Baldwin, can't wait to leave in a few years.

You people should go read the parking restrictions in Whitehall and Baldwin Township, way more stricter. If you got a complaint go to the meeting and tell them.

I am not complaining, I think it is a great idea, but ALL the streets in South Baldwin that run from McAnnulty to Gardenville or Norma should have the same restrictions (2am-6am). Charlotte should be no parking at all times. People use that street as a raceway from Gardenville to McAnnulty. It is dangerous for people to walk that road with the amount of traffic that needs to swerve around parked cars. All the streets have a fair amount of people who park on the street all night and some, more so than Elaine and Blossom. I thought all of Baldwin was one sided parking as is. Our little neighborhood has no parking signs down one side of the street on each street, in what I have observed most people abide by this throughout the day and night.

Christy I totally agree with you there, In Whitehall no matter where you live we have to park off street between the hours of 2 am to 6 am. There are homes that don't have driveways that were given permission to park on the street but very few homes in this day and age don't have driveways or off street parking. Kids run out between cars during the summer on these roads and one day someone child is going to get hit because people can't park in their driveway. Then the person that hits the child will naturally be blaming the parent of the child that is playing out on the street.

I'm skeptical. It doesn't seem to me that the existing no parking signs in my local area are enforced.
