REOPENED: Jagged, Fallen Tree Closes Tunnel by Garden Bar
Tree fell from top of railroad overpass at around 10:45 p.m. on Monday.
UPDATE (11:50 p.m.): The road has reopened.
Baldwin Borough police officers are directing traffic away from the railroad overpass near the Garden Bar & Lounge on Gardenville Road due to the falling of a long, jagged tree there on Monday.
The tree fell at around 10:45 p.m., a Baldwin police officer at the scene said, blocking entrance to the tunnel.
No detours have been set up, but motorists can use other neighborhood roads to get around the closure.
Crews from Baldwin's Public Works department have been sent to the scene to remove the tree.
There were no injuries, and no power was lost.
