Got no idea what you'll do this weekend? Patch is coming to the rescue. We've got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

It's a good idea to have CASH ready for these events.

1. Thirsty Thursdays
Where?/When?: Borough of Whitehall Municipal Complex/Thursday, Aug. 25, 6-10 p.m.
Why Go?: This Thirsty Thursday event offers you a great way to organize your photos, layout albums and journals, et al. Each week, the meetings' group will try a different beverage—from iced teas to smoothies!
Pricing: $5/person.

2. "The Psychic"
Where?/When?: South Park Theatre/Thursday-Saturday, Aug. 25-27, 8 p.m.
Why Go?: The South Park Theatre presents "The Psychic." The play is about a down-on-his luck writer in desperation to make the rent, who puts a sign in his apartment window that reads "Psychic Readings $25." The sign draws a variety of characters into a tangled murder mystery comedy.
Pricing: Basic admission is $12 for plays, but subscribers pay $10. Discounted rates for groups of 15 or more people are available at $2 off per person.

3. 21st Annual Whitehall Borough Race and Fun Walk
Where?/When?: Snyder Park/Saturday, Aug. 27, 8 a.m.
Why Go?: The 21st Annual Whitehall Borough 5,000-meter race and 1-mile fun walk will kick off the borough's Community Day Celebration! Registration for the race and walk will be from 8 to 9 a.m., and the race starts at around 9:15 a.m. A trophy will be awarded to the overall male and female winners as well as to the top male and female runners in each age group. All runners are eligible for raffle prizes following the race. Click here for registration information.
Pricing: $14/person for run or walk.

4. Flea Market and Rummage Sale
Where?/When?: St. Gregory Byzantine Catholic Church/Saturday, Aug. 27, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Why Go?: St. Gregory Byzantine Catholic Church is hosting its third annual Indoor Flea Market and Rummage Sale in the church hall. There will be a wide variety of items for sale, including books, infant and children's clothing and accessories, toys, small furniture, sporting equipment, kitchen and household decorative items, electronics, and much more. Come and find that special bargain!
Pricing: Varies.

5. Baldwin-Whitehall Youth Baseball Car Wash
Where?/When?: Busy Beaver/Saturday, Aug. 27, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Why Go?: Baldwin-Whitehall's 12-year-old travel baseball team is hosting a car wash at the Busy Beaver location on Route 88. Donations will benefit the team's trip to a Cooperstown Dreams Park Tournament.
Pricing: Donations encouraged.

6. Lowe's Build and Grow Clinic
Where?/When?: Lowe's/Saturday, Aug. 27, 10 a.m.
Why Go?: School is back! Children will build and decorate their own locker using this project kit. The kit includes stickers, chalkboard and chalk!
Pricing: Free with purchase of supplies.

7. Community Day Celebration
Where?/When?: Edwin F. Brennan Plaza and Snyder Park/Saturday, Aug. 27, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Why Go?: This year's Community Day Celebration theme is "A Whitehall Borough Hoedown." Festivities will be held all throughout the borough, including Brennan Plaza, Snyder Park and the Whitehall Public Library. Click here for the full schedule of events. The Baldwin-Whitehall Patch will be there. Be sure to bring a non-perishable item to donate to the food drive. Free parking and shuttle bus service is available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at First Commonwealth Banking (Route 51 location), Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of South Hills and Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral.
Pricing: Admission is free, but other prices vary.

8. Special Family Event
Where?/When?: Whitehall Public Library/Saturday, Aug. 27, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Why Go?: The library is open all day for Whitehall Community Day! Professional storyteller Sue Claus will introduce you to the world of Japanese folktales and "Kamishibai Men."
Pricing: FREE.

9. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Celebration
Where?/When?: Pottery Barn Kids at the Galleria/Saturday, Aug. 27, 11 a.m.
Why Go?: Pottery Barn Kids is hosting a series of events and activities in celebration of author and illustrator Eric Carle and his beloved stories. Kids can read along, help build a mobile about healthy living and more.
Pricing: FREE.

10. Tea with Friends at Sisters of St. Francis Convent
Where?/When?: Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God/Sunday, Aug. 28, 1 p.m.
Why Go?: Put on your best Sunday hat and relax with friends at a tea party on the peaceful 33-acre campus of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God. The tea party includes assorted teas, sandwiches, sweets, entertainment from Grammy-nominated accordionist Kevin Solecki and more! Guests will also have the opportunity to win prizes from a basket raffle. All proceeds benefit the Auxiliary of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God, who provide support to the Sisters' ministries as well as special programs for retired and elderly Sisters.
