Embezzlement at Saint Albert the Great Credit Union

Manager Tara Gibson, of north Baldwin, is sentenced.

Chief U.S. District Judge Gary L. Lancaster has sentenced Tara Gibson, 42, of 210 Revo Rd. in north , to six months of imprisonment, followed by six months of home detention and three years of supervised release on her conviction of embezzlement from Saint Albert the Great Federal Credit Union.

From in or around January 2007 and continuing through December 2007, Gibson embezzled approximately $85,241 from the credit union, where she was the manager, according to U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Shaun E. Sweeney prosecuted the Gibson case on behalf of the government.
