Dormont Woman Arrested for DUI in Baldwin Township

The township will participate in a DUI task force this weekend.

Arrest on McNeilly Road

Baldwin Township police stopped a vehicle being driven by Linda Nania, 41, of 1257 McNeilly Ave. in Dormont Borough, for erratic driving at around 10:58 p.m. on April 27.

Nania was stopped in the 400 block of McNeilly in Baldwin Township (known there as McNeilly Road), where the reporting police officer detected a strong odor of alcohol upon conversing with her, according to Baldwin police Sgt. Marty Conroy.

The officer put Nania through field-sobriety tests, which she failed, before arresting her and taking her to St. Clair Hospital for a blood test. Results of that test are pending.

Police are charging Nania with suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

DUI Task Force

Baldwin Township police will partner with a number of nearby municipalities this weekend as part of the Mt. Lebanon Area DUI Task Force.

Checkpoints and roving patrols are to be expected in the area.
