UPDATE: Castle Shannon Woman Found

UPDATE (Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, 1:59 p.m.): According to Castle Shannon police, Meissonier was found in Pittsburgh's East Liberty area on Thursday afternoon by an acquaintance who then notified a family member.

A woman missing from Castle Shannon Borough could be in danger, according to the Castle Shannon police website.
Joan Lynn Meissonier, 59, was reported missing on New Year's Day. She reportedly left her home some time after 2 p.m.
Meissonier, described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds, has told her family that she wanted to live on the streets. She does not have her medications with her.
She has green eyes, dark brown shoulder-length hair and may be wearing tennis shoes and a black winter coat.
She is believed to have no purse or identification with her.
Anyone who may have seen the missing woman is asked to call Castle Shannon police at 412-473-3056, or 911.

As long as she has never been deemed incompetent, I don't see how anyone can take away her right to be homeless. Who knows, it may make her appreciate all that she has, since the life she has ahead of her really isn't that glorious.

I hope this woman gets the help she needs. At least she's not out in this cold, on the streets.
