The atmosphere is friendly, the service is very good; the desserts are some of the best in the South Hills. Armstrong's is an on-going favorite with family and friends.

I prefer Gianna Via over Armstrongs. Just my opinion.

I'll have to agree that Gianna Via's has a better menu and food. I went to Armstrongs a few Friday's ago and the fish was dry, rubbery and thin for the amount of money we spent. I guess I am not seeing what everyone else thinks is a Readers Choice Award winner.

Armstrong's has always struck me as a glorified Eat 'N Park. It's the kind of standard, greasy, "homecooked" food that appeals to senior citizens (nothing wrong with that,) but it's not somewhere I'm going to take friends/relatives from out of town. I know the locals can't get enough, but Yinzers aren't exactly the sort of food critics I would take advice from.
