Baldwin Township Police Briefs (June 17-30)

Suspected DUI on McNeilly Road.

On June 18 at approximately 2:07 a.m., Baldwin Township police, in cooperation with the Mount Lebanon Area DUI Task Force, stopped a vehicle for swerving in the 400 block of McNeilly Road.

According to a police report of the incident, the vehicle crossed a fog line (the white line painted on the outside of the road) before adjusting and almost striking the tunnel at the McNeilly-Route 88 intersection.

Police took the vehicle's driver—Anthony Yost, 49, of Jacob Street in Pittsburgh's Overbrook neighborhood—to the Mount Lebanon Police Department for a blood test. Results of that test are pending.

Police are charging Yost with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license and failure to drive on the right side of the road. UPDATE: The driving with a suspended license and failure to drive on the right side of the road charges were eventually withdrawn.
