Baldwin High School students will return to class on Aug. 28 for the 2012-13 academic year, meaning that there are only 12 days left this summer to obtain the Baldwin-Whitehall School District's recommended back-to-school supplies for Baldwin High courses.
According to the district website, here are those supplies:
ENGLISH
- Three-ring binder with dividers and loose leaf paper, preferably college-ruled (The recommendation is that this binder be reused from year to year so that families do not have to purchase a new one each year.)
- Pens and pencils
- Optional: Sticky notes
- Optional: Stapler to keep at home (This could be used for all classes.)
Research paper supplies vary from grade to grade, so students should wait for this grade-customized list from their individual teachers.

FINE & PRACTICAL ARTS and OTHER ELECTIVES
There is no general start-up supply list for these courses. Lists are specific depending on a student's exact course, and the district usually provides the necessary tools and materials.
If a student is economically disadvantaged, district officials will try to provide him or her with the necessary supplies. The student can privately ask his or her teacher for assistance in such cases.
Class of 2013 members are reminded to make arrangements with Prints Charming Photography to have their senior portraits taken before school starts.

I would love to know what " district usually provides the necessary tools and materials." is? What exactly is the district supplying, last year most classes didn't have enough books for the students to take home or from the class room.

That is in reference only to the "FINE & PRACTICAL ARTS and OTHER ELECTIVES" section.
