B-W Trivia: Which Fire Company Is This?
We will reveal the answer on Monday.
The Baldwin-Whitehall Patch has partnered with the Baldwin Historical Society to bring you a weekly trivia question that delves into our area's colorful past.
Pat Lombardi and Patty Woehler, co-presidents of the society, generously write the questions and provide the pictures.
Here is this week's question:
This picture is from 1932.
It shows officers from one of Baldwin Borough's fire companies standing in front of their fire station.
The men are, from left to right, Joe Kunkle, Bob Kegler, Alfred "Lefty" Arand, Fritz Grossman, Edward P. Tush, Adam Yerko and Tom Osborne.
The volunteer firefighters of the Baldwin area should all be commended for their great service to the community throughout the years. The fire companies have become very modernized from their early beginnings but still need the community's help because they are still volunteers.
