UPDATED: B-W Kindergartener Left on School Bus
Boy woke up at the garage. He was never without adult supervision.

A 5-year-old McAnnulty Elementary School student fell asleep on a Baldwin-Whitehall School District bus on his way to school on Wednesday morning and awoke to find himself at the district's bus garage.
WPXI is reporting that the bus's driver did not know that the boy, a kindergartener, failed to get off of the bus at McAnnulty that morning.
B-W School District Superintendent Dr. Lawrence C. Korchnak told WPXI that the boy was discovered shortly later at the Wallace Building garage when the driver was checking on the bus's emergency door locks.
The driver eventually brought the boy to McAnnulty, and district officials contacted his parents. However, it is not known which of those actions occurred first.
"The district is relieved that the child was never beyond the scope of adult supervision," Korchnak told the Baldwin-Whitehall Patch. "However, we are reviewing our procedures and investigating the possibility of disciplinary action."

If you would have watched the news, you would have heard the driver did indeed check the bus, an alarm would have went off if the driver hadn't done a walk through. Also I've heard management watch the video from the bus and the child could not be seen, from any angle. The child had to be sleeping under a seat on that bus.. The drive from Greenmeadows is extremely short to McAnnulty, my personal opinion is that child should be going to bed earlier. Also what kind of parent would want their face hidden from the cameras, but would allow their child to be seen. I certainly would not put my child in jeopardy like she did. My feelings are the mother waited until today to tell the media because she didn't like the districts response. I believe she is trying to make a buck off of the district over human error.

First and foremost thank God the child arrived safely. @ Steve, I thought the same thing, why would a mother allow her child's face on TV and then request her's to be hidden? Something odd about that. Perhaps the children should have assigned seats with a buddy thay way they can watch out for each other. Also, Bus drivers will need to check more carefully in each seat. I think the child was sleeping in his seat and just went undetected.

Maybe the kids should pair up so if their partner doesn't get off the bus they could tell someone. I agree with one of the other responses, what time did he go to bed? It's a pretty short ride
