I live next to blossom and I am starting a watch. We need to catch them and show that this kind of BS is not going to happen in our neighborhood.

If it is who they say it is it's no shock. I have seen cops outside that house on more than one occasion. A watch definitely needs to be in place. I remember this neighborhood to be a quiet one where we could once leave windows and doors open. What a shame. I hope that justice is served to these losers.

Know that an important part of a good block watch includes cooperation with the local police, regularly scheduled meetings with police officers, meetings in the homes of block captains--meetings include the police, this puts a police presence in the community, also shows young ones that their parents invite the police into their homes.
Bonus of good block watch is getting to know your neighbors.
AND when someone is arrested and goes to trial, a good block watch sends as many of the neighbors as possible to fill the courtroom. Just by showing up, they can impress the court with their seriousness about the matter, and IME has resulted in stricter sentencing of some of these kinds of thieves.

We have a block watch where I live in Whitehall and we keep an eye on each others homes. We let others know when were going to be away and yes even have keys for each others homes so that we can go do checks in their houses to make sure everything is ok not only on the outside but on the inside also. We watch out for suspicious people and cars in the neighborhood . We don't have to have meetings for a neighborhood watch as we on the street get together all the time for street parties, hang out at each other fire pits in the fall and winter evenings. We have block party in the summer and swim parties in the summer. It is nice when your neighborhood can do things like this and keeps the whole neighborhood safe. Plus what is nice about Whitehall police they show their presence on our streets, they drive on all the streets in the Borough a few times a day while they are out in their cars.
